MORE ABOUT THIS TOUR
Escape the hustle and bustle of Rome on an exclusive day trip to two of Italy’s most enchanting hidden gems: the mystical Bomarzo Gardens and the breathtaking Civita di Bagnoregio.
After a pleasant drive through the Lazio countryside, your first stop is the legendary Bomarzo Gardens, also known as the Parco dei Mostri (Park of the Monsters). Created in the 16th century by Prince Pier Francesco Orsini, this surreal garden is filled with huge stone sculptures of mythological creatures, monstrous faces and enigmatic inscriptions.
Your dray trip continues towards Civita di Bagnoregio, a fairytale small town perched atop a crumbling cliff. This medieval village offers breathtaking views and a step back in time. Wander through its charming cobbled streets, admire ancient stone houses, and visit the stunning San Donato Church in the central piazza.
Your guide will share the captivating history of this nearly abandoned town, explaining the geological forces that continue to shape its fate.
